Hi I am Amy Dawn, If you're here, you're probably looking for someone you can trust with one of the most important people in your life—your child. I know what a big decision that is, and I'm honored you're taking the time to get to know me. I've spent most of my life caring for children. I became a mom at 19 years old had four of my own, helped raise my stepchildren, cared for and raised my grandchildren, and today I'm blessed to still be helping raise one of them. Looking back, I realized something... caring for children has been my life's work all along. It has never felt like "just a job." It's simply who I am. That's why I created Amy's Little Steps. I wanted to create the kind of place I would have wanted for my own children—a place where little ones are loved, where laughter fills the room, where scraped knees get hugs, big accomplishments are celebrated, and every child knows they belong. When children walk through my front door, they aren't just another daycare child. They become part of our family. I learn their personalities, their favorite songs, what makes them giggle, what comforts them when they're having a hard day, and I celebrate every little milestone right alongside their parents. Those little moments matter to me because childhood goes by so quickly. My goal has never been to simply watch children while their parents are at work. My goal is to give them a safe place to learn, play, explore, build friendships, and make wonderful memories while being surrounded by love.
